Bhaskar Banerjee
Principal Architect, Solutions Leader of Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Bhaskar is a Principal Architect at Amazon AWS, focusing on leading cloud innovation and
digital transformations for Financial Services & Insurance customers in the US. He brings
extensive experience in driving IT strategy, enterprise architecture, and data transformations
from over 25 years in technology, financial services, robotics and consulting. He is
passionate about working with his customers and stakeholders to deliver impactful outcomes
while continuing to learn, build and reinvent.
Prior to joining Amazon, he has been on the other side of many impactful partnerships with
AWS for almost a decade. As the Chief Architect for McKinsey & Co, he led cloud strategies
& digital transformations, enterprise data & analytics platforms and served as advisor to
global architecture & engineering colleagues firmwide. Prior to that, he headed enterprise
architecture and data engineering at iRobot, leading new technology, data & analytics
capabilities in partnership with AWS to connect IoT-enabled home robots to the cloud. Prior
to that, he held senior technology leadership roles in the financial services industry - with
over 15 years in Fidelity Investments, Morgan Stanley and UBS, in fund research, asset
management, private wealth, brokerage and trading functions.
Bhaskar lives in the Boston area with his family, enjoying Cape Cod, traveling, and
community service.

engineering, encompassing Big Data and ETL processes, and has excelled in full stack
